About Me

Hi! I’m Jody, and I’m glad you’re here. Whether it’s your first time searching for help or you’ve been in therapy before, seeking support and assistance regarding your personal life takes courage. I honor you for taking this big step towards feeling better, healing, and growing.

Clients have said working with me is life-altering and described me as professional, knowledgeable, caring, highly qualified, and patient. In a safe, nonjudgmental, caring, and supportive space, we’ll explore the origins of the concerns bringing you to therapy and will use various treatment methods designed to help you heal and grow.

My Practice

My passion in life is helping others feel better emotionally, grow personally, feel empowered, and heal past traumas. Having been through therapy myself, I feel it gives me first-hand experience and a deep sense for how best to be helpful.

As we work together, I am committed to being of service in whatever ways will be most impactful for you, within my scope of practice as a clinical psychologist…be it advocating for you, making daily check-in calls or texts when needed, giving homework between sessions, sharing additional resources, or referring you to providers who bring additional areas of expertise and more. I don’t have all the answers…it’s about what’s truly best for you.

The treatment I provide is rooted in a story from my past. In 2000, I was unable to overcome the debilitating symptoms I experienced in the aftermath of my mother’s sudden death. I sought therapy through a referral from a trusted colleague. My therapist used an Energy Psychology (EP) modality to assist me. I found the treatment to be powerful and effective in healing my other core traumas in addition to my presenting symptoms. Wanting to provide such profound assistance to my own clients, I received training in the same EP modality. I currently use an EP modality within which I am able to integrate all of my other training.

Energy psychology (EP) is a collection of innovative, energy-based therapies designed to improve your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. These mind-body methods are also known as cognitive somatic practices. Although EP is still considered experimental, many of my clients report lessening of their psychological symptoms such as anxiety and depression. Please click here for more information.
